MS Dhoni talked about his plans after cricket in a fan interaction at an event recently. While Dhoni is expected to play in the IPL 2024 tournament, given that he is 42 years old, the inevitable will happen and the favorite of millions of cricket fans will bid goodbye to the game eventually.

However, everyone knows that IPL 2024 might be the last time Dhoni dons the yellow jersey and plays competitive cricket. He had to undergo knee surgery to be ready for the upcoming IPL tournament. Even CSK coach Stephen Fleming said during the recent auction that the management has succession plans ready for life after MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was asked by a fan what he plans to do once he retires from the game and the former India captain replied that while he has not given a serious thought to his life after the game, he plans to spend more time with the army.
Notably, Dhoni holds an honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Indian Territorial Army which was presented to him by the Indian Army in 2011.
He also spent some time with the army and became a qualified paratrooper after completing five parachute training jumps from Indian Army aircraft in the Agra training camp.
Dhoni said: "I have never thought about it. I am still playing cricket. IPL I am still playing. It will be very interesting to see what I end up doing after cricket. I think for sure, I want to spend a bit more time with the Army because last few years I have not been able to do that."
