Michael Vaughan clicks a friendly selfie with Mohammad Hafeez weeks after social media spat

Vaughan caught up with Hafeez in Australia and took a selfie with him.

Michael Vaughan and Mohammad Hafeez | GettyFormer England skipper Michael Vaughan’s social media game is pretty strong. He never misses a chance to give it back to trolls and his banter with ex-India opener Wasim Jaffer is legendary.

During the recently held ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Mohammed Hafeez became the victim of Vaughan’s trolling after the former Pakistan captain called India’s star batter Virat Kohli ‘selfish’ for his knock of 101* in 121 balls against South Africa.

Hafeez had said that Kohli should have hit some big shots in the final few overs instead of taking singles and doubles.

In response, Vaughan had called Hafeez’s analysis completely nonsense and also trolled the latter with a photo of Virat Kohli dismissing him in the T20 World Cup 2012. He also shared a clip of that instance for good measure.

Almost a month later, Vaughan caught up with Hafeez in Australia and took a selfie with him. He also posted the photo on social media platform X.

“Great to catch up with @MHafeez22 in #Perth ..,” Vaughan captioned the picture.

Notably, Mohammad Hafeez was named Pakistan’s team director/head coach after the World Cup 2023 debacle. He is currently in Australia with the national side for a three-match Test series, which got underway on December 14 in Perth.

On the other hand, Michael Vaughan is part of the broadcasting team for the ongoing Australia-Pakistan Test series.
