Artificial intelligence is getting really popular these days, and unfortunately we're seeing more and more fake pictures of famous people on social media. People are making fake pictures using AI, and most recently, Sara Tendulkar, daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, got caught up in this trap.

There are a bunch of fake accounts on X (formerly known as Twitter) with verified badges, and they're sharing pictures of Sara that are made using this AI trick called deep fake.

After finding out this, Sara took to Instagram to inform her fans about fake accounts on X, and she even urged X to take action regarding the same while expressing concern for such misuse of technology.

Sara Tendulkar wrote on her Insta story: “Social media is a wonderful space for all of us to share our joys, sorrows and daily activities. However, it is disconcerting to see the misuse of technology as it takes away from the truth and authenticity of the internet. I have come across some deepfake photos of me which are far from reality.”

She continued, “A few accounts on X (formerly Twitter) have obviously been created with an intent to impersonate me and mislead people. I do not have an account on X, and I hope X looks into such accounts and suspends them. Entertainment should never come at the expense of the truth. Let's encourage communication that’s based on trust and reality.”

Notably, there have been reports that Sara is dating India's opening batter, Shubman Gill, and she was even seen cheering for the Punjab cricketer during the recent ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
