Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi was seriously unhappy with a channel publicly showing Babar Azam’s personal chats with PCB’s Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, and called it “Ghatiya harkatein or poor conduct”.
ARY News channel, a well-known Pakistani media entity, leaked conversation between Babar and PCB’s Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, in which Babar is replying to Naseer asking if he had been in contact with PCB chief Zaka Ashraf.
This was in relation to rumors that PCB chief is not picking calls or replying to messages sent by Pakistani team players and captain Babar. This was disclosed by Rashid Latif in another TV show, that Men in Green players have not been paid match fees and retainers for past 4-5 months.
As per the leaked screenshot, the sender’s message stated, "Babar, there’s also been news circulating on TV and social media that you have been calling Chairman and he’s not answering. Have you called him recently?"
The receiver by the name of ‘Babar Azam New’ replied, “Salam Salman bhai, ma ny to sir ko koi call nai ke (Hello brother, I have not made any call to sir).”

But this incident has been widely criticised by Pakistani cricket fraternity as they accused the channel of infringing privacy of the Pakistani captain and PCB COO.
Joining the fray is former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi who shared his thoughts about the same on Samaa TV. He called out the TV Channel for leaking private WhatsApp chats of Babar Azam and called it a “Ghatiya harkat”.
