Naseem had injured his shoulder during Asia Cup Super 4s encounter against India.

Naseem Shah is estimated to be out of action for 3-4 months | GettyPakistani pacer Naseem Shah underwent successful shoulder surgery after the injury had ruled him out of the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 in India.

The right-arm fast bowler sustained the injury during a crucial encounter against India at the Asia Cup 2023 last month. He was then ruled out from the rest of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament.

PCB Chief Selector Inzamam-Ul-Haq warned that the fast-bowling prodigy might be sidelined for the entire year while announcing the 2023 World Cup squad.

Medical examinations indicated a muscle injury in the shoulder region, unrelated to any previous shoulder issues. Surgical intervention was required to rectify the shoulder issue and it was carried out successfully.
