Whose hand is on Rishabh Pant's shoulder? Mayank Agarwal solves the mystery

The photo which was clicked during the 2019 World Cup in England, has intrigued fans.

Enjoying a leisurely day in London, Hardik Pandya, accompanied by Rishabh Pant, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mayank Agarwal, decided to capture the moment on camera and share it with the world. Little did they anticipate that this photograph would become an internet sensation, laden with humor and confusion.

Hardik’s “Boys’ Day Out” post left the internet scratching its head, due to a mysterious hand resting on Pant’s shoulder. None of the other cricketers’ hands were long enough to reach Pant’s left shoulder, making it impossible to find out whose hand it was.

People had many speculations regarding the photo and many suggested that it might be the hand of God, responsible for sparing Pant from a catastrophic car accident.

But four years since the photo was clicked, the owner of the hand has come forth and uncovered the truth.

India opener Mayank Agarwal, who had been added to India's squad in that World Cup as a replacement, revealed that it was his hand that was resting on Rishabh Pant’s shoulder.

He posted: “After years of extensive research, debates, and countless conspiracy theories, let the nation finally know: it is MY hand on @RishabhPant17 shoulder. Ps: any and all other claims are misleading and not true
