CPL 2023: WATCH- Kieron Pollard hammers four huge 100-m sixes in one over by Izharulhaq Naveed

TKR defeated SKNP by 6 wickets.

Kieron Pollard goes berserk against Izharulhaq Naveed | CPLTrinbago Knight Riders (TKR) captain Kieron Pollard was in a destructive mood in their CPL 2023 encounter against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP) on Sunday, as he hammered huge sixes taking his team to a six-wicket win in process.

Earlier, thanks to Sherfane Rutherford’s 62* and contributions from Andre Flecther and Corbin Bosch, SKNP had posted 178/5 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by TKR captain Pollard who won the toss.

Sunil Narine, who became the first player to get red carded due to slow over rate offence in CPL, was the pick of the bowlers with 3/24 in 4 overs.

In response, TKR lost openers Martin Guptill and Chadwick Walton for single-digit scores, but then Nicholas Pooran hammered 61 in 32 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes and Lorcan Tucker made 36 runs to bring TKR back into the game.

The end came swiftly as Kieron Pollard made 37* in 16 balls with 5 sixes to his name and Andre Russell remained unbeaten on 23 off 8 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes, as TKR won by 6 wickets in 17.1 overs.
