Indian cricket fraternity lauds Neeraj Chopra for his gold medal win at World Athletics Championships 2023

Neeraj Chopra won the gold in javelin throw with a distance of 88.17 meters.

Neeraj Chopra | GettyAce India athlete Neeraj Chopra made the country proud once again after he won the gold medal at the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest, Hungary on August 27, 2023. He won the top prize in the men’s javelin throw event with his astounding throw covering 88.17 meters.

This made Chopra the first Indian athlete to win gold at the senior world championships. Not only this, but the Haryana-based athlete now has gold medals in every significant championship.

Neeraj has won gold medals at the Olympics, Global Championships, the Diamond League, the Asian Athletics Championships in 2017, the Asian Games in 2018, and the Commonwealth Games in 2018.

Neeraj was the first track and field athlete from India to win a gold medal in the Olympics (Tokyo 2020), the Diamond League Championship (2022), and the Junior World Championships (2016) before Budapest 23.

Neeraj Chopra was lauded by the entire country for his brilliant achievement and also receives praises from Indian cricket fraternity as well, who took to social media to share their accolades for the javelin thrower.
