Ashes 2023: WATCH- Stuart Broad gets guard of honor from Australia; hits a massive six in his final innings

Stuart Broad | GettyEngland pacer Stuart Broad got a massive ovation as he walked out to bat along with James Anderson on fourth day of the fifth Ashes 2023 Test at the Oval, as this was his final time batting in international cricket.

Broad,37, shocked the cricketing world as he announced his retirement from all cricket yesterday, as he leaves the game after 167 Tests, 121 ODIs and 65 T20Is for England from 2007 to 2023.

The tall left-hander walked down the stairs and made his way to the pitch with James Anderson amid a huge round of applause and a standing ovation from the crowd.

He hugged Anderson at the boundary ropes before he walked in the middle with Australian players giving him a guard of honor.

And not the one to disappoint, he pulled Mitchell Starc high over square leg for a six before England innings was wrapped up for 395 leaving Australia 384 to win the match and the series. He remained unbeaten on 8 runs in his final Test innings.
