Deepak Chahar, the Indian bowler, made his comeback after a lengthy lay-off due to a back injury in the IPL 2023 where he helped the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win their fifth title.
However, Deepak Chahar is yet to make his comeback into the Indian team as he wasn’t named in the squad for the West Indies tour and even in the upcoming Asian Games.
Chahar has been one of the most injury prone cricketers in recent times and it looks like he is getting ready to make his mark once again in the blue jersey as he was seen polishing his art in the nets.
“If opportunities do come, I’ll certainly consider it”: Robin Uthappa open to coaching role in IPL
With Hardik Pandya being the sole pace-bowling all-rounder of repute, Chahar is seemingly trying to position himself as an alternative for that role also. He already has two ODI fifties to his name, including one which helped India win the game.
In a video shared by him on Instagram, Chahar is seen batting in nets against a bowling machine and the speedometer showed deliveries being hurled at him over 150 kph. In the same video, he can be seen sprinting as well.
“Bahut teez aaa rahe the, 10 ball baad dikhe ball muze to”- he captioned the post.
