Rajvardhan Hangargekar picked five wickets for India. | ACCIndia A defeated Pakistan A in a relatively one-sided contest in Colombo on July 19, 2023, in the ongoing Emerging Nations Asia Cup tournament in Sri Lanka.

Both India A and Pakistan A had come into this match after winning their last two encounters against Nepal A and UAE A and this was a much-anticipated clash between two rivals.

Pakistan A captain Mohammad Haris won the toss and chose to bat first. But the Indian bowlers built pressure on their batters right from the start and kept it till they were bowled out for 205 runs. Saim Ayub and Omair Yousuf scored ducks, while Sahibzada Farhan made 35 runs.

Qasim Akram saved some face for his team with a knock of 48 while Mubasir Khan (28) and Mehran Mumtaz (25*) took Pakistan A past the 200-run mark.

For India, Rajvardhan Hangargekar picked 5/42, becoming the first Indian bowler to pick a fifer in the Emerging Nations Asia Cup tournament.

In reply, Abhishek Sharma got out for 20 after adding 58 for the opening wicket, but then Sai Sudharsan and Nikin Jose (53) added 99 runs for the second wicket. Sudharsan (104*) played a brilliant knock under some pressure from Pakistani spinners.

He remained unbeaten and to get to his century, hit Shahnawaz Dahani for two consecutive sixes in the 37th over and also took his team to victory with 8 wickets in hand and 80 balls remaining.

Here is the moment when Sudarshan reached his ton, taking India to the win as well:
