Carlos Alcaraz of Spain created history by defeating multiple-time champion Novak Djokovic in the final of the Wimbledon 2023 tournament to become the new Champion on July 16, 2023.
Alcaraz, 20, and the 36-year-old Serb Djokovic engaged in what has been termed as one of the best Wimbledon finals in recent times, in which the youngster earned victory with the scoreline reading 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.
After Carlos Alcaraz clinched his maiden Wimbledon title on Sunday, an old video of a commentator started doing the rounds on social media in which he was heard comparing tennis star Alcaraz to Indian batting great Virat Kohli.

In the viral clip, Alcaraz was seen playing against Stefanos Tsitsipas on a clay surface. During the match, Alcaraz played a beautiful drop shot that Tsitsipas failed to return.
The shot impressed the commentator which forced him to draw comparisons with the greats of other sports.
"It's like watching Virat Kohli in cricket or Michael Jordan," the commentator said.
“Really, it's that special. So good! All you can do is smile,” the fellow commentator added.
