Pakistan speedster Shaheen Afridi has made an immediate impact on the T20 Blast 2023 where he represents Nottinghamshire as he disturbed the furniture of Lancashire’s Jos Buttler in their recent match of the tournament.
Shaheen Shah has made an outstanding recovery after dealing with a knee problem that kept him off the pitch for a considerable amount of time. In the previous season of Pakistan Super League, which ended in March, he guided Lahore Qalandars to victory, and he has since maintained the momentum.
He did start his outing in the T20 Blast 2023 on a slow note, but since then has become a force to reckon with.
In the match against Lancashire, Shaheen knocked Jos Buttler's off stump with an inch perfect yorker and the video of it has created quite a buzz on social media. The incident took place on the final delivery of the fifth over as Buttler's innings came to a close for 23 off 16 balls.
Here is the video:
In all, Shaheen scalped two wickets as Lancashire were restricted to 145 on 18.3 overs. Nottinghamshire then completed the run chase with seven balls to spare and won the match by five wickets.
