Indian cricket fans will be delighted as wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is finally off crutches and is able to walk on his own.
On 30th December 2022, Pant’s car collided with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun expressway and caught fire, forcing him to break the car window and get out of the vehicle. As a result, the southpaw sustained multiple injuries and he is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Since his discharge from the hospital, Pant has been regularly posting photos and videos on social media, providing update on his recovery.
On Friday (May 5), Rishabh Pant uploaded a video in which he can be seen walking without support, much to the happiness of Indian fans.
“Happy NO MORE CRUTCHES Day!” Pant captioned the video.
Rishabh Pant is set to miss a major chunk of the action this year that could also include the ICC Cricket World Cup later this year. In his absence, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat are performing the wicket-keeping duties for India across formats.
