Kaif's diving effort dismissed a dangerous looking Upul Tharanga | TwitterFormer India cricketer Mohammad Kaif has been making some waves in the ongoing Legends League Cricket Masters Tournament 2023 being played in Doha, Qatar. In their recent most match, an eliminator against Asia Lions, Kaif showed why he was considered as one of the top fielders in his time.

Indian Maharajas needed to beat Asia Lions in order to qualify for the finals and meet World Giants in the summit clash. However, they were unsuccessful in their bid as after opting to bat, Asia Lions piled up a huge 191/5 after Tharanga’s 31-ball fifty and some notable contributions by Mohammad Hafeez (38) and Asghar Afghan (34).

Tharanga was looking dangerous and, in the 9th over of the Lions’ innings, cut a short ball from Pragyan Ojha towards the covers. The ball seemed to be racing towards the boundary, however, Mohammad Kaif dived full length and plucked a one-handed gem out of thin air.
