Legends League Cricket, a competition featuring retired players, is currently taking place in Qatar. While the tournament has a team from India (India Maharajas), the other two sides comprise of players from other Asian countries (Asia Lions) and the rest of the world (World Giants).
Thanks to this competition, fans are witnessing the reunions of former players from India and Pakistan.
On Saturday (March 18), former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar uploaded a video on his official YouTube channel, where he shared interactions with India stars including the legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh.
During the interaction, there was a funny moment captured on camera as Shoaib and Harbhajan recalled their altercation between each other from their playing days.
Akhtar first reminded Harbhajan of the sixes he hit against him during the Faislabad Test in 2006. In reply, the former off-spinner said that while he didn't sledge Akhtar even after the sixes he smashed, the fast bowler lost his cool when he was at the receiving end of Harbahajan's onslaught four years later.
Akhtar and Harbhajan had a heated during the Asia Cup match in 2010, following which the latter slammed the former for a big six.
“He was bowling so good in Faislabad, then I hit him for two sixes!” Akhtar began.
“I didn't say anything to you when you hit those two sixes. But when I hit a six against you, you said so many things!” Harbhajan responded.
“Should I tell everyone what you said? You actually started it,” Akhtar hit back at the Indian spinner.
To which, Harbhajan replied: “I didn't start. He just got angry, how can he hit a six against me!”
Akhtar then playfully hit Harbhajan, after which the latter hilariously said, “When he can't win with words, he starts hitting people.”
