West Indies is touring South Africa for a series of two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is. The first Test will be played in Centurion between 28 February-4 March whereas the second match is slated to take place in Johannesburg from 8-12 March.
The three ODIs will be played on March 16, 18, and 21, while the three T20Is will be played on March 25,26, and 28.
The Kraig Brathwaite-led side is currently playing a practice game against South Africa Invitation XI, and interestingly both the teams feature one player each who is the second generation cricketer.
West Indies team has Tagenarine Chanderpaul, son of former captain Shivnarine, while South Africa Invitation XI has Thando Ntini, son of the former pacer Makhaya.
Not only this Makhaya Ntini’s son Thando removed Tagenarine Chanderpaul in the 8th over of the innings for just a run. The southpaw debuted for the side recently and lived up to the expectations as he scored a century and half-century in the four games he played.
Thando Ntini is still playing domestic cricket and is yet to make his international debut.
Incidentally, Thando's father Makhaya Ntini had dismissed Tagernarine's father Shivnarine Chanderpal 7 times in international cricket.
Meanwhile, as Makhaya Ntini’s son dismissed Shivnarine Chanderpaul’s son in the tour match, Twitterverse was quick to react to the same and the sentiment was that fans were feeling old.
