Ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against Australia, former India captain Virat Kohli along with his wife Anushka Sharma visited Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj's samadhi at Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh.

Virat and Anushka's visit to Rishikesh comes days after the duo along with their daughter Vamika sought blessings at an ashram in Vrindavan.

Kohli was not named in the T20I squad against New Zealand and is on a break after the ODI series against the Kiwis.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma also organized a bhandara (religious feast) for devotees at the ashram and according to several photos and videos on the internet, couldn’t escape requests for selfies and autographs from his fans there.

In a video shared by a fan, Kohli can be heard requesting fans not to record the videos and reminding them that they were at an ashram.

On the other hand, the couple also organized food offerings for the saints at the Ashram.
