Ravindra Jadeja has been out of cricket since the Asia Cup 2022 after suffering a knee injury for which he underwent surgery. This led to him missing the T20 World Cup 2022 and currently he is rehabbing in a bid to get fit for the New Zealand white-ball series and Australia Tests.
While he seemed irreplaceable initially, all-rounder Akshar Patel was included in his place and Akshar has done tremendously well and cemented his place in the team. Akshar was adjudged the Player of the Series in the recently-concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Another all-rounder Washington Sundar also performed well in the few chances that he got in Jadeja's absence.
This has led to multiple experts claiming that with Akshar doing so well for India and Sundar also putting his hand up, it will be very difficult for Ravindra Jadeja to just walk back into the Indian team. This has also become a topic of discussion on social media among Team India fans as well.
In between all this, Jadeja posted a cryptic tweet saying: "Don’t say anything. Just smile".
However, the left-arm all-rounder was heavily trolled on Twitter with multiple fans pointing out how Akshar and Sundar have seemingly usurped him as the Indian team’s leading spin all-rounders.
