Rishabh Pant, the talented India keeper-batter, met with a serious car accident on December 30 on the Delhi-Dehradun highway near Roorkee. His car was gutted in the accident while he suffered a list of injuries and is currently under treatment at Max Hospital in Dehradun.
Pant was alone in the car and met with the accident while trying to avoid a pothole. According to a statement by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) in coordination with the Max Hospital Dehradun, the cricketer has suffered two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee along with injuries on his right wrist, ankle, toe, and back.
He has undergone some plastic surgery procedures for cuts on his forehead and abrasions on his back, while scans and x-rays have shown no broken bone or serious injury. Further scans will be done to determine the damage done to his knee and ankle.

Meanwhile, his India teammate Ishan Kishan was left shocked to know about Pant’s accident from fans as he was currently playing in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022-23 tournament.
Kishan, who was playing for Jharkhand at the Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur against Services, was told by a bunch of fans about the news as he took selfies with a few at the boundary.
Kishan was taken aback by the news as one of the fans told him “Rishabh Pant ka car accident ho gaya.”
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant was on his way from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee to be with his family for New Year's, when his car met with an accident in the Narsan district.
He was rescued by a bus driver and conductor, along with locals from his car which later caught fire, and was given first aid at a local hospital before being shifted to the super specialty facility in Dehradun.
The BCCI doctors have been in touch with the medical staff there to monitor Pant’s condition.
