Shikhar Dhawan is probably one of the best openers in ODI cricket India produced, but now it seems that his days with the Indian cricket team are over.

The veteran left-hander was already limited to playing only ODIs for Team India, and now that he was snubbed from the squad for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka after a prolonged poor run of form, is a major hint that Dhawan is no longer in BCCI's plans going into the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at home.

Well, after his expected but heartbreaking snub from India’s ODI squad,  Dhawan shared an emotional yet inspirational post on Instagram, but he later deleted it, and now it is making the rounds on social media with many curious to know why he deleted the post.

Sharing a picture of himself sharpening his skills in the nets, Dhawan in a now-deleted post wrote: “Gal jeet haar di nahi hundi, Jigrey di hundi hai. Kam kari chalo baaki hamesha Rabb di rza ch raho. (It is not about winning or losing, but about courage. We should do our work and leave the rest in God’s hands.)”

While many have been hailing Dhawan for his positive outlooked despite the snub, some were curious to know why the veteran opener deleted his post.
