David Warner | GettyAustralia opener David Warner ended his rut of low scores in his milestone 100th Test for his country as he hit a scintillating unbeaten double hundred in the ongoing second Test against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Warner, who was under pressure after a string of poor scores for Australia, came through big time as he struck his third Test double-hundred which came in 254 balls with 16 fours and 2 sixes to his name.

His effort and 85 from Steve Smith and 48* from Travis Head have put Australia in a commanding position in the first innings as they ended day 2 on 386/3 with a lead of 197 runs after they had bowled out South Africa for 189 on day one itself.
