France and Argentina will clash in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 | TwitterKL Rahul registered his first Test win while leading the Indian team as they defeated Bangladesh in the first Test of the two-match series which was played in Chattogram. The visitors earned a 188-run win after bowling out Bangladesh for 324 runs on day 5.

Najmul Hossain Shanto (67) and skipper Shakib Al Hasan (84) aided by a debut Test century by Zakir Hasan (100) helped Bangladesh delay the inevitable as they were set 513 runs to win the match. Akshar Patel took 4/77 and Kuldeep added three wickets to his first innings haul of 5/40 and was awarded the Player of the Match as well. The second Test will be played in Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla stadium from December 22 onwards.

However, ahead of the encounter, the team will be enjoying the blockbuster final clash between Argentina and France at the FIFA World Cup 2022, which will be Lionel Messi's final outing at sports' grandest event.

BAN v IND 2022: “We had to really work hard for this win,” says KL Rahul after dominant victory in Chattogram Test

KL Rahul was asked if the Indian players stand divided into French and Argentine colors during the post-match press conference, to which India's stand-in skipper had a hilarious response.

"Whichever teams we were supporting are all out already. There were few Brazil fans, there were few England fans. So, I don't really know who is an Argentina or France supporter, so we'll just enjoy the game. We're watching the game together, and we'll have a good meal.

Like I said five days after a game is really tiring, so enjoy tonight, watch the game. Final of the World Cup, we all love football. Most of you have seen we're always playing football, before warmups, even back in the room. FIFA was big early on but the boys have relaxed a bit, there are other priorities, so it'll be interesting to watch the game today. We will be divided a little bit, that's what make watching sport fun,” said Rahul, leading to laughter in the room.
