England completed a fine 26-run win in the second Test in Multan and with it took a 2-0 series lead as well, with the final Test to be played in Karachi from December 17. For Pakistan, it was the first time since 1959 that they had lost three consecutive Tests at home.

Skipper Babar Azam has been under fire for his leadership skills or the lack thereof and for some bizarre selection decisions as well. His form with the bat was also questioned as he failed to come good in the second innings of the Multan Test when Pakistan was chasing 355 runs to win and level the series.

After the second Test, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam addressed reporters in the post-match press conference. During the discussion, a journalist asked Azam if, he and Mohammad Rizwan, should consider focusing on T20Is more.

The journalist asked, “This question is on the behalf of the fans. They believe that Babar and Rizwan should focus on T20I matches.”

He also explained the rationale behind this question and said that according to him, the Pakistan side is quite dependable on these two batters. Thus, as soon as they depart, the remaining players collapse like a deck of cards.

However, Babar didn’t wait for the reporter to finish his statement and got irritated and cross-questioned the gentleman.

So what are you trying to say? Should we stop playing Tests?” The unexpected response surprised the reporter who replied, “No, I’m just seeking your thoughts on this matter. Should you guys play T20Is?” Babar asked.

In the end, the 28-year-old batter brushed off the topic by stating, “No sir, I am not actually thinking about anything like that.
