PAK v ENG 2022: WATCH- Joe Root bats left-handed against leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood in Rawalpindi

Joe Root scored 73 runs in England's second innings.

Joe Root batted left-handed against Mahmood | TwitterAs the first Test between Pakistan and England at the National Stadium in Rawalpindi continues, England batter Joe Root provided some entertainment for the crowd as he was seen batting left-handed properly to counter the opposition spinners.

After Pakistan was bowled out for 579 on the fourth day, England started to build on the lead they acquired thanks to their first innings total of 657 runs. While Ben Duckett followed his first innings century with a golden duck in the second innings, Zak Crawley hit a half-century.

Then it came to Joe Root and Harry Brook who resumed the aggressive bazball tactics. Babar Azam brought in leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood in action and he was bowling outside leg-stump to stifle the run scoring.
