“You will be back stronger”- Suryakumar Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya wish speedy recovery to Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah will not be playing in T20 World Cup 2022.

Jasprit Bumrah | GettyIndian pacer Jasprit Bumrah recently posted an update on his injury and revealed that he was gutted after being ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. Bumrah complained of back pain before the South Africa T20I series.

Initially, he was ruled out of only the South Africa T20Is, and there were hopes of him getting fit in time for India’s first match on October 23. But after further diagnosis at the NCA Bengaluru, it was determined that Bumrah will not be in a position to play in the ICC event.

The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists,” the board said in a media release.

Taking to Twitter, Bumrah thanked fans, and well-wishers for their prayers and vented that he was gutted not to be playing in T20 World Cup. But he added that he will be cheering for the Indian team throughout their T20 World Cup campaign.

I am gutted that I won’t be a part of the T20 World Cup this time, but thankful for the wishes, care and support I’ve received from my loved ones. As I recover, I’ll be cheering on the team through their campaign in Australia,” Bumrah tweeted.

Meanwhile, he has received some wishes from his teammates as well.

Suryakumar Yadav posted: “You will be back stronger @Jaspritbumrah93 Wish you a speedy recovery

Wishing good and healthy vibes your way. Have a speedy recovery,” Shikhar Dhawan posted.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Hardik Pandya said: “My Jassi Come back stronger like you always do

The BCCI is yet to name a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah, as the Indian contingent will fly to Perth for prep camps on October 6th.
