Bhilwara Kings defeated Gujarat Giants by six wickets in the second qualifier of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) tournament at Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur on Monday (October 3).

Opting to bat first, Gujarat Giants posted 194/9 in their 20 overs with vital contributions from Kevin O Brien (45), Yashpal Singh (43) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (36).

Sreesanth was the pick of the bowlers for Bhilwara Kings, claiming two wickets by conceding 28 runs in his four overs.

Dilshan and Stuart Binny were his two victims but it was the former Sri Lanka opener’s wicket that caught everyone’s attention.

Sreesanth displayed a stunning piece of swing and seam bowling to clean up Dilshan. The opening batter was looking set for a big score but the ex-India pacer sent his off-stump cartwheeling.

In reply, Bhilwara Kings rode on William Porterfield’s 43-ball 60, Shane Watson’s unbeaten 48 off 24 balls and Morne van Wyk’s 18-ball 31 to overhaul the target with 9 deliveries to spare.
