Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends prevailed over Sri Lanka Legends by 33 runs to successfully defend their Road Safety World Series 2022 title on October 1, 2022.
India Legends batted first and thanks to Naman Ojha’s brilliant 108*, posted 195/6 in 20 overs. Then thanks to three wickets by R Vinay Kumar, the hosts managed to keep the Sri Lankan Legends to just 162 runs and won the final by 33 runs.
This made the Indian Legends the Road Safety World Series 2022 champions and they successfully defended their title as well.
The match saw many amazing moments during the course of the encounter like Naman Ojha bowing down to Sachin Tendulkar after completing his century with a six. He was the second man to score a century in this season’s tournament.
The first to hit a ton in RSWS 2022 was Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan, who was involved in a funny altercation with India Legends' Suresh Raina.
The Sri Lankan skipper was given a warning by Raina, who collected the ball and appeared to poke fun at Dilshan. The legendary batsman then responded by hugging Raina, as they both shared a laugh about it.
