The BCCI has finally announced the Team India 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on Monday (September 12). Well, the T20 World Cup squad is very similar to the Asia Cup 2022 squad, with only Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel returning to the side after recovering from their injuries. Ravindra Jadeja misses out due to his knee injury.
While Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant both have been picked as wicketkeeper-batters for the T20 World Cup 2022, Deepak Hooda and Hardik Pandya are the two all-rounders in the 15-member squad.
Many are surprised, however, by Mohammad Shami's exclusion from India's main squad for the showpiece event, while the rest of the squad appears strong and expected.

Meanwhile, Karthik, who was out of the equation before the IPL 2022, was happy and yet emotional after being picked in the India squad for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will be played in Australia from October 16 to November 13.
The veteran cricketer took to Twitter to express his emotions by saying: "Dreams do come true."
Karthik's first reaction to his selection for the T20 World Cup 2022 caught the attention of his India teammate Hardik Pandya, who was all heart for his teammate and called him a "champion."
Notably, Karthik and Pandya both were recently part of India’s Asia Cup 2022 campaign, and they both were named in India’s T20I squad for the upcoming home series against Australia. Hardik will miss the South Africa series for conditioning related work at NCA after the Australia T20Is.
