New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is considered as one of the finest batters of the modern era and he would be certainly disappointed with the way he was dismissed during the second ODI against Australia on Thursday (September 8) in Cairns.
Williamson suffered a bizarre dismissal off a full toss delivery bowled by Australian spinner Adam Zampa during the 19th over of the match, as the New Zealand skipper rmade only 17 runs off 58 balls during his team’s massive 113-run defeat against the hosts.
The elegant batter completely missed a full toss delivery from Zampa, and the ball snuck under his bat and struck him directly on the knee roll, and eventually, the umpire had to give him LBW out.
Now, the video of Williamson’s dismissal has been surfacing all over social media. In the video, Williamson’s expression shows all his emotions, as the ball tracking revealed that the ball would have pitched just short of a leg stump and crashed onto the stumps.

Notably, chasing 196 for victory, New Zealand was bowled out for 82 runs to suffer a massive defeat of 113 runs against Australia in the second ODI, thanks to Zampa's maiden five-wicket haul in ODI cricket.
With the big defeat, New Zealand also lost the three-match Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series against Australia as well, having lost the first ODI as well with the final match set to be played on September 11.
