England cricket team is all set to tour Pakistan for the first time in 17 years. The Jos Buttler-led side is slated to play 7 T20Is on their historic visit to the Asian nation.
The first T20I between the teams will be played on 20th September followed by the next three games slated to take place on 22, 23, and 25th September, all of which to be played in Karachi.
The action then shifts to Lahore, where the last three games will be played on 28 and 30 September and 2 October.
After that, both the teams will prepare themselves for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, following which England will return to Pakistan for the Test series, which will be played in December.

As PCB announced the full schedule of England’s tour, Iceland cricket's official Twitter account took a jibe at them and said that fans should book accommodation only on the basis of “pay on arrival” as the fate of the series is still uncertain.
“All fans should reserve accommodation based on ‘pay on arrival with a cancellation option up to the day before the game. These days, a tour is not a tour until it’s a tour,” Iceland Cricket Tweeted.
To the reference, England pulled out of the Pakistan tour last year, citing security issues. Their decision to not visit the country came just three days after New Zealand had also abandoned their tour despite arriving in Pakistan, on the morning of the first ODI.

However, this tweet didn't sit well with Pakistani fans who called out Iceland cricket for what they perceived was a tasteless post.
This led to Iceland Cricket posting another tweet, clarifying that their tweet was not a troll for anyone but fans didn't understand the real meaning of their post.
“The fans certainly misinterpreted this Tweet. This one was about the likelihood of England canceling a tour to Pakistan, just like they had done in 2021,” Iceland Cricket said in another tweet.
