Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has been battling a prolonged patch of indifferent form with the bat as he has not scored an international hundred since 2019. Once a run-machine in all formats, he is now struggling to post consistent scores.

Kohli has faced a lot of criticism and questioning from ex-cricketers as well as the Indian media in recent times as he has not been able to find that form which has deserted him since 2020. Kohli has scored 31, 12 and 16 runs respectively in the one Test, two T20Is and one ODI that he has played on the tour of England.

Despite the widespread questioning of his form, the 33-year-old has received backing from Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. He has been rested from the upcoming white-ball tour of Caribbean and USA, where India will play West Indies in three ODIs and five T20Is.

In these difficult times, the batting superstar has received some support from across the border as Pakistan captain Babar Azam took to his social media accounts and wrote, “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli” along with a picture of the two cricketers.

While former cricketers often make comparisons between Babar and Kohli, the duo were seen having extended chats when India and Pakistan faced each other in the T20 World Cup 2021. They are likely to clash again during the Asia Cup which is scheduled for August-September in Sri Lanka.
