England batter Joe Root was once again giving some highlight-reel-worthy moment as he played some ridiculous shots in the recent Test series against New Zealand and one of them was a reverse scoop or sweep of sorts to Kiwi pacers.
His brilliant timing and a potentially new array of shots in his quiver have led to Root becoming a highlight hogger of sorts. Something similar was seen when England set out to chase down the 296-run target in the third Test against New Zealand at Leeds.
After Alex Lees got run out for 9 runs, and Zak Crawley made 25 runs, Joe Root and Ollie Pope got together to stitch a brilliant partnership in which both were comfortable and cautious.
However, on the last ball of the 22nd over bowled by Neil Wagner, Joe Root decided to have some fun and changed his stance to straight on as the bowler was about to release the ball and scooped the ball over the third man for a six in one of the most outrageous shots seen by the amazing England batter.
