Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 7 wickets in the second qualifier of the IPL 2022 on May 27 to set a date with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL Final at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Just three days back, Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered a last-over defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans (GT) in the first qualifier of the IPL 2022 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Well, the Sanju Samson-led franchise made a stunning comeback in the second qualifier to crush RCB’s hopes of making it to the IPL 15 Final.
RCB posted 157/8 on the board against RR thanks to Rajat Patidar’s fifty, while Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy each snared three wickets for RR in the match. Chasing the total, Jos Buttler (106*) hammered a stunning century to take RR over the line in the 19th over against the RCB.
After the match, RR pacer Trent Boult was heading towards the dressing room. That’s when a young RCB fan asked the New Zealander for his shirt, and he didn’t think twice before removing it for the fan.
As soon as the RR pacer gifted his shirt to a young fan, he removed his RCB jersey and quickly wore the Boult-gifted RR shirt and then posed for a click with a happy face.
RR also shared the video of the entire episode on Twitter and it went viral in no time, as the fans are loving Boult’s gesture towards the young RCB fan, who was seen wearing an RCB jersey with Virat Kohli’s name imprinting on it. Notably, Kohli was dismissed for just 7 in this match against the RR.
