However, under his captaincy, MI has won five IPL titles, the most by any franchise.

Apart from this, Rohit Sharma has found a new wind to his Test career, after starting to open the innings in 2019. He has played 45 Tests and scored 3137 runs with 8 centuries and 14 half-centuries. He scored a century in each innings on his debut as an opener and has scored a double century as well.

He has played 230 ODIs, scoring 9283 runs with 29 centuries and 44 half-centuries with the best of 264. He is the only batter with three double-tons in ODI cricket.

He is also the joint leading century-maker in T20Is with 4 to his name and has 3313 runs in 125 T20I matches with a best of 118. Rohit also holds the record for most centuries in one edition of the 50-over World Cup- 5 all of which came in the 2019 World Cup in England.

Today as the Indian captain in all three formats celebrates his 35th birthday, he received wishes from the cricket fraternity.
