Kicking off April in style, pranksters welcome the month’s first day with laughter. Some of the cricketers too gave a glimpse of their funny side on the occasion of ‘April Fool’s Day’.
Ex-India all-rounder Irfan Pathan played a hilarious prank on Suresh Raina while doing analysis for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) versus Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season for official broadcaster Star Sports.

When Irfan said that PBKS were the 'favourites' going into the contest, Raina reminded everyone that the former has played for the franchise in the past. The former CSK batter also spoke of Preity Zinta's ownership of the franchise, which made Pathan upset.
“Female angle lana zaroori nahi hota (it's not always important to include a female angle),” Irfan said in reply, before going away from the recording area, expressing his disappointment at Raina’s comments.
The presenters then asked Suresh Raina to speak to Irfan and bring him back on the set. As Raina went to approach Pathan and took him back to the shooting area, the latter couldn’t control his laughter and said that it was an April Fool’s Day prank.
Raina also reacted to the video of the incident shared by Star Sports on Twitter.
"Don’t lie and say April Fool. Plant a tree and say April Cool. Love you too @IrfanPathan bhai, All the best for your movie," he wrote.
In reply, Irfan said: “You know I love you brother @ImRaina".
