WATCH - "I'll still bowl fast," Mark Wood hilariously states under the effect of anaesthesia after elbow surgery

Wood injured his elbow during recently concluded Test series against West Indies.

English pacer Mark Wood recently underwent an elbow surgery after injuring himself during the recently concluded Test series against West Indies. 

Wood, who was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during IPL 2022 auction, was also ruled out of the tournament and then was replaced by Andrew Tye in the team’s squad. 

He underwent surgery in London and a video of him has gone viral on social media which has left many in splits. In the video, the English pacer can be seen under the effect of anaesthesia and is speaking anything out of context.

The pacer asked someone, "Is my shoulder meant to be sore?" After the person replied to his question, he said, "That's weird though!"

He then quipped, “I've have had elbow surgery but my shoulders are aching. I'll still bowl fast.” 

Wood also was seen praising LSG’s head coach Andy Flower. He said, “I like Andy Flower, he is a nice guy.”
