After the stumps on Day 2, Ali addressed the press conference. During the event, a journo stated that both he and Imam played slowly and asked as to why Pakistan could manage only 476 even after playing over 160 overs in their first innings.

Replying to this, Azhar Ali gave a mouth-shutting reply to the media personnel. The 37-year-old journalist had said enough, and the answer lies in the question asked by him.

Azhar, when players score centuries, it becomes a part of the record. And when it’s a big century, it’s even better. Both you and Imam got big hundreds but do you two realize how much did it affect the team? Imam, who was trying to make a comeback played too slow. You also did not do enough. 460 in two days, the scorecard was in front of you. Don’t you think you two could have been more courageous?” the journalist said to Azhar.

Meanwhile, Azhar gave a strong yet subtle reply in all gentlemanly manner, saying: “I think you have already said enough. The answer is in your comment itself.
