Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag has posted a meme after extending his support to Wriddhiman Saha. Saha had recently shared a screenshot of his private chat with an unnamed journalist who sent him threats.
The India wicketkeeper was threatened for not agreeing to talk to the unnamed journalist over his exclusion from the Team India Test squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka series.
"After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so-called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone (sic)," Saha had tweeted.
Sehwag backed Saha after the chats were leaked and he later dropped a meme featuring India captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit, in the meme, tells Yuzvendra Chahal to go away, and Sehwag wrote that this is what Saha should do with the journo next time.
"What I would have done and what Wriddhi should be doing next time the so-called journalist dares to message him," Sehwag's tweet read.
Earlier, reacting to Saha's post, Sehwag had slammed the journalist in his tweet. "Extremely sad. Such sense of entitlement, neither is he respected nor a journalist, just chamchagiri. With you Wriddhi," he wrote.
