Pakistan's veteran wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal recalled his on-field heated exchanges with Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma in an interview. He was recently part of the Asia Lions team for the Legends League Cricket (LLC).
In an interaction with presenter Shefali Bagga for a 'Rapid Fire', Kamran was asked about his rivalry with Indian players, like Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh. Responding to the question, Kamran denied any issues between them and he called their on-field clash a 'misunderstanding'.

"Things heated up a bit with Gautam Gambhir during the 2010 Asia Cup but it was all due to misunderstandings. He is a very good friend. We have played a lot of 'A' cricket together. There is no such rivalry with Ishant Sharma too," he said.
During the Asia Cup 2010 match between India and Pakistan in Dambulla, Gambhir and Kamran had got into a heated argument between overs. The two players kept having a go at each other until the umpires intervened.
Kamran had an altercation with India pacer Ishant Sharma as well during a T20I match between India and Pakistan at Bengaluru back in 2012-13.
