An earthquake was felt during the ICC Men's U19 World Cup match between Ireland and Zimbabwe at the Queen's Park Oval on Saturday (January 29). The tremors had no impact on the match and the players were not affected by the quake.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Port of Spain caused the tremors during the match. The commentators noticed the earthquake, while the player carried on with the match.

The tremors were felt during the sixth over of Zimbabwe's innings when Ireland spinner Matthew Humphreys was bowling to Brian Bennett. The front-on camera showing the live-action was shaking.
The commentator, Andrew Leonard said, “We are… I believe we are having an earthquake right now. In the box. We are indeed having an earthquake (laughs). It felt like not just a train going by behind us, but the whole Queen’s Park Oval media centre rocked.”

Ireland beat Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in the match after they chased down 167 runs in 32 overs. Earlier, Zimbabwe got bowled out for 166 runs after Muzamil Sherzad picked up 5 wickets.
