India's World Cup-winning captain, MS Dhoni, is among the most admirable cricketers across the world. Dhoni has been an inspiration for youngsters due to his ability to deal with tough situations and keep things simple.
The 40-year-old has often spoken about the importance of focusing on the process, rather than the result for success. He shared the same mantra with Bhutan's Mikyo Dorji.
Dorji is trending on social media after becoming the only player from his nation to register for the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.
The all-rounder shared a picture and a video of his meeting with India cricket legend, who has retired from international cricket in 2020. Dhoni had a chat with Dorji and told him to take less pressure and enjoy the game.
“Keep it simple. Focus more on the process and less on the results. If you get the process right you will get the result. And enjoy, don’t take too much pressure. Ever since the great MS Dhoni gave me this piece of advice, it has always stuck with me," Dorji captioned the post.
Dhoni is currently in Chennai for the preparation of the IPL 2022 mega-auction for his IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings. The event is scheduled to be held on February 12 and 13.
