South Africa under-19 batter Dewald Brevis tried his best but couldn't take his team to the U19 Cricket World Cup 2022 semi-final. He scored 97 runs in the quarter-final against England as they lost the match by 6 wickets.
But that hasn't affected Brevis' popularity on social media one bit. In fact, the fans are in awe of his batting and the similarities with former Proteas star batter AB de Villiers.
A picture of the 18-year-old is doing the rounds on social media in which he can be seen donning the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) jersey.
Fans believe Brevis is going to be a major attraction in the upcoming IPL 2022 mega-auction. Some feel it would be ideal for him to go to RCB, where De Villiers played his last IPL match.
Brevis is called 'Baby AB' by his teammates and he had grabbed the limelight after South Africa's clash with India in the ongoing U19 Cricket World Cup 2022.
