South Africa's U-19 batter Dewald Brevis is being discussed on social media for his batting similarities with the Proteas great AB de Villiers. He showed his batting skills in their first match of the U-19 World Cup against India.
Coming out to bat at number 3 in the 223-run chase, Brevis smashed a half-century and got out after scoring 65 off 99 deliveries, including 6 fours and 2 sixes. He was the top scorer for his team as they lost the match by 45 runs.
During his knock, the 17-year-old played some eye-pleasing shots and when he reached the fifty, his teammates gave him a standing ovation and showed a placard reading 'Baby AB' from the dugout.
