U19 CWC 2022: WATCH - "Baby AB!" Dewald Brevis grabs attention for his batting similarities with AB de Villiers

South Africa's U-19 batter Dewald Brevis is being discussed on social media for his batting similarities with the Proteas great AB de Villiers. He showed his batting skills in their first match of the U-19 World Cup against India. 

Coming out to bat at number 3 in the 223-run chase, Brevis smashed a half-century and got out after scoring 65 off 99 deliveries, including 6 fours and 2 sixes. He was the top scorer for his team as they lost the match by 45 runs.

During his knock, the 17-year-old played some eye-pleasing shots and when he reached the fifty, his teammates gave him a standing ovation and showed a placard reading 'Baby AB' from the dugout.

For India, Vicky Ostwal was the pick of the bowler who claimed a five-wicket haul (5/28) to ensure their victory. Apart from him, Raj Bawa also bagged four wickets for 47 runs as India kick-start their U19 World Cup campaign with a victory.
