On the penultimate ball of their innings, David played a yorker from Brody Couch to the long-on and went for a couple of runs. The replays showed the batter tried to deliberately run short which got the opponents five penalty runs, and Hurricanes got no run on that delivery.
Here is the video:
Hurricanes posted a total of 180/6 in 20 overs with David finishing on 22* off 12 deliveries. Ben McDermott was the top scorer for them as he played a 43-ball 67 runs knock which included 4 fours and sixes each.
In reply, Melbourne couldn't reach the target despite an advantage of five runs. They could only manage 156/9 in 20 overs after Hurricanes' bowlers, Riley Meredith and Tom Rogers picked up three wickets each, while Nathan Ellis bagged a couple of wickets.
Joe Clarke scored a half-century for Melbourne and they didn't get many contributions from other batters to chase down the target.
