Cricket fans on Twitter were more than amused seeing England bowling legends James Anderson and Stuart Broad carrying drinks for the team during the first Ashes 2021-22 Test in Gabba. 

James Anderson and Stuart Broad have been aging like a fine wine and carrying the load of England’s bowling line-up in the longest format of the game even in their late 30s. 

Anderson and Broad share great camaraderie both on and off the field. Their on-field record speaks for itself as they cumulatively have more than 1150 Test wickets.

Despite having a staggering record, the duo was not picked by England for the first Ashes 2021-22 Test against Australia, which hosts won by 9 wickets.

While James Anderson was rested for the first match to manage his workload, Stuart Broad’s omission surprised many as the Joe Root-led side played three pacers in Mark Wood, Ollie Robinson, and Chris Woakes. 

After conceding a lead of nearly 300 runs, skipper Joe Root and Dawid Malan led England's fightback and during their innings, James Anderson and Stuart Broad were seen carrying drinks for them on Day 3.
