Bangladesh had put 330 on the board in the first innings and gained a 44-run lead after keeping Pakistan to 286 runs in their first do.

On Day 3 of the first Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan on Sunday, the Bangladeshi crowd reminded Afridi of his over to Matthew Wade in which the Australian keeper batter slammed three sixes to win the match and knock Pakistan out of the T20 World Cup 2021 in the semi-final of the tournament.

The incident took place when Afridi slid and dove at the boundary. As Afridi saved a four, one person in the crowd reminded him of Wade's hat-trick of sixes, which was caught on the mic.

However, it was Shaheen Afridi who had the last laugh as he picked three wickets including removing Shadman Islam and Najmul Shanto in one over. Two Bangladesh wickets falling in the same over triggered a pin-drop silence in the stadium, even as Afridi went on to grab another wicket, getting opener Saif Hassan.
