Indian captain Virat Kohli shared a loving post for his wife Anushka Sharma on Sunday (November 28) describing how her presence makes him feel at 'home' anywhere.
As is well known, Indian cricketers spent a lot of time away from home, since September last year, and have constantly been in bio-bubbles to continue playing top-level cricket despite the risks posed by the pandemic.
The Indian board has been much more lenient in allowing families to accompany the cricketers to keep them in a good state mentally despite the challenges posed by the bubble life where you can't go out of a certain environment for lengthy periods of time.
With the bubble life seemingly here to stay for some time as the COVID-19 virus continues to mutate into different variants, the BCCI has now decided to follow a rotational policy allowing cricketers to stay fresh mentally and physically.
As a result, Kohli was rested from the T20I series and the first Test of the two-match series against New Zealand at home after the T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE. He is now preparing to join the team in Mumbai in the next couple of days for the second Test, starting from December 3.

Currently in a short quarantine before joining the Indian team bubble, Kohli penned a romantic caption for a throwback picture with his wife Anushka Sharma which he posted on Instagram.
He wrote, “With you by my side, I am at home anywhere @anushkasharma”
Anushka reacted hilariously to the post, as she wrote, “Which is great because you are hardly home”.
