"I Ain't Leaving," Chris Gayle tweets amid retirement speculations

Gayle had received the guard of honor alongside Bravo during T20 World Cup 2021 which sparked retirement speculations.

West Indies batter Chris Gayle has hinted that he is going to continue playing cricket after speculation over his retirement at the end of the T20 World Cup 2021. Gayle posted a tweet on Thursday (November 18) which indicated that he wants to play more cricket.

In the last Super 12 match of West Indies, Gayle was applauded onto the field by teammates when he went out to open the batting against Australia, and he had saluted the ground after his dismissal before throwing gloves into the crowd.

The 'Universe Boss' also walked into the guard of honor alongside Dwayne Bravo, who had announced his retirement. It all hinted towards the conclusion of Gayle's illustrious career.

But now after Gayle's latest post on Twitter, the fans believe that he is not going to stop playing competitive cricket. "I Ain't Leaving...," he tweeted on the micro-blogging site.

The 42-year-old has played 79 T20Is, 103 Tests, and 301 ODIs and was part of ICC Men's T20 World Cup victory in 2012 and 2016 for West Indies.
