Strength and conditioning coach Nick Webb posted clips from his last gym-based duties for India's men's cricket team. His stint with Team India ended with the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021.
Webb had already informed BCCI to not extend his contract after the mega ICC event due to personal reasons. He trained the Indian men cricketers for the final time ahead of their Super 12 match against Namibia.
Posting a video featuring India captain Virat Kohli, Webb wrote, "My final gym-based duties for the @indiancricketteam were spent with the skip @virat.kohli completing his “priming” routine ahead of the Namibia match⚡️
"Priming “excites” the neuromuscular system and on match days it’s performance benefits last up to 6 hours. This method has been a staple in Virat's plan prior to every T20 match. Looking forward to watching this man do his thing over the coming season from afar ???????? Team India… over and out ✌????????????????".

Webb has been with the Indian team since 2019 after Shankar Basu's stint ended following the ODI World Cup. But he took the tough decision to put his family first as he was staying away from them for too long in this post-COVID-19 pandemic.
"This has not been an easy decision but ultimately I must put my family first. The current COVID restrictions for New Zealand citizens wanting to enter NZ is the primary reason," Webb wrote in his announcement.
"While these restrictions may ease in the future, the uncertainty of this happening moving forward along with potential 5-8 month stints at a time away from my family has made it unsustainable for me past the T20 World Cup.
"I am not sure what the future holds for me at the moment but I remain excited. One thing I’m certain of is that I will be doing everything I can to guide our Indian cricket team men to the big dance at the T20 World Cup," he had posted.
